Whiplash Comics uses real actors and real locations. Our cast includes models, actors, makeup artists, musicians, and other creatives who’ve come together to produce two action-packed Episodes of VanCity Outbreak. Reid Lucier tailored each photo using graphic compositing while working with Cale Boudreau on storytelling.
The birth of VanCity Outbreak
After working on a zombie themed photoshoot, Reid was astonished at the high cinematic quality of the shots. Working with some of the shots, he created a short comic which became the catalyst that eventually led to the creation of 2 Episodes of VanCity Outbreak
The birth of the VanCity NFT Collectible Series
While Reid was exploring various distribution methods, his friend and EOS Nation Ambassador Brian Patel suggested looking into using WAX NFTs as a platform to release and distribute the VanCity Outbreak photorealistic graphic novel.
A blockchain is a digital record of transactions that cannot be altered. The name comes from its structure, in which individual records, called blocks, are linked together in single list, called a chain.

The immutability of the blockchain allows anyone to verify the authenticity (such as total supply and origin) of their favorite NFTs.
Since all transactions are publicly recorded on the blockchain, artists have full visibility into all of the sales of their product. On top of that, NFTs that are traded among collectors in the secondary markets also generate revenue for the artist!
