Citrix Workspace Macbook Air

I tried to install Citrix Workspace v2002 on a new MacBook Air running macOS 15 Catalina. I think the owner of the computer had used Migration Assistant from an old MacBook Air running a significantly older OS. The installer failed without a user-facing explanation.

A common issue I see in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops deployments is users who are unable to print to their local printers from Mac and Linux clients when using Citrix Universal Printer Driver (UPD ). The good news is, it is a very simple fix! Citrix UPD relies on a series of printer drivers to be installed on the VDA machine.
Login to your Citrix Desktop. Next you will move your mouse to the top of the screen and click on the black rectangle to show the drop down menu. Click on Window button to shrink the Citrix Desktop Viewer Window so you can adjust the size.
I am having the same problem here on two different hardware setup: - iMac Pro (2017) + LG Ultrafine 27 - Macbook Air (2019) + LG Ultrafine 27. It seems that Citrix Workspace corrupts something in memory and whenever some application (Screen Saver, login screen, wallpaper) tries to adjust brightness of the LG it crashes the windowserver.

TIP: Many StreetSmart Edge® menu items are available by right-clicking in the software. To right-click using a single-button Mac mouse, press and hold the CTRL button when you click. There may be additional methods found in the preferences of the device you use (Trackpad, Mighty Mouse, laptop touch pad, etc.).

1. Log in to www.Schwab.com and go to the Trade tab. Click Launch StreetSmart Edge.

2. In the next screen, click the Install button.

3. Download CitrixReceiver.dmg. In Safari, the download will begin automatically. In Firefox, choose Save File and click OK.

A note for users running Mac OS X 10.5 or below:
The installer you will be downloading will be called CitrixReceiver11_2.dmg instead of CitrixReceiver.dmg. This is due to changes in Mac OS X from 10.6 onward. You will be installing an older version of the Citrix receiver which supports your version of Mac OS X. Your system specifications will be automatically detected and the correct version of the Citrix receiver will be downloaded.

4. Double-click on the downloaded file CitrixReceiver.dmg to begin the installation.

5. Click the Citrix Receiver window to bring it to the front, and then click Install Citrix Receiver.pkg.

6. Click Continue in the pop-up to allow the software to install.

7. Click Continue again to begin the installation.

8. Click Continue to view and agree to the Citrix License Agreement.

9. Click Agree to continue with installation.

10. Click Install to finally begin the installation.

11. Enter the Name and Password of the Macintosh administrator and click OK. Create wordpress theme.

12. When the installation completes, click Close.

13. Close the Citrix Receiver window.

14. Close the Downloads window.

15. In the Citrix XenApp Log On screen, click the Log On button to continue. The Logon Type will always be Anonymous. No log on credentials are needed.

16. Click the StreetSmart Edge icon to launch.

2. Navigate to: https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/mac/workspace-app-for-mac-latest.html

3. Click the button labeled 'Download Citrix Workspace app for Mac' to download the installer file.

4. Save the file to your downloads folder (safari does this by default).

5. Navigate to your 'Downloads' folder and double click the CitrixWorkspaceApp.dmg file

6. Double click the 'Install Citrix Workspace' button.

7. Select continue on the 'This package will run a program to determine if the software can be installed' prompt.

8. Click the 'Continue' button on the Welcome to the Citrix Workspace Installer window

9. Click the 'Continue' button on the Welcome to the Software License Agreement window

10. Click the 'Agree' button to agree to the terms of the software license agreement

11. Click the 'Install' button to install to the default location.

12. Type in your Mac Username and Password (not Apple ID username/password) and then click the 'Install Software' button.

13. Leave the check box 'Add Account' unchecked and click the 'Continue' button.

15. Click the 'Move to Trash' button (this will delete the download files to save hard drive space)

16. Citrix Workspace App is now installed on your Mac and is ready to be used
